► PERSONALITY: This man is a complex one, one who can have many second guessing themselves when talking to him in the street. Not just because he is an expert at making people believe they don't know him, but simply because his different acts are all so different from one another. When acts is said, we're not talking like he's a con-artist, after all he's far from it. Simply how he had managed to separate his true self from his false identity. These two fronts are separated by names, Jason and Jared. Perhaps we should start with his act, the way he fits in and melts into the new life he's supposed to be building for himself. In other words, Jared. This side can be summed up basically as a loud, impulsive idiot. Not the nicest way of thinking is it? Jared is very much the type of guy everyone grew up with. The class clown, the joker, the one who guzzles energy drinks and plays guitar the way rebels do. The only difference being he's a teacher, not a student. One of the messiest people around, he well known for his office and papers to be organised chaos, everywhere but in places he'll remember. Being an art teacher, he can get away with a lot of his messes though and is far from disliked within the school environment. Laid-back and always making inappropriate jokes or going on about nothing, he's easy to talk to and always got an idea for someone who wants one. A bit of a flirt, he won't back down from a challenge and tends to be the type to bribe his students to do things for him like find missing heat guns with chocolates. Yet, despite all his goofing around, Jason shows through whenever situations get serious. Compassionate and always wanting to help, he will do whatever he needs to do to comfort someone or fix something. Rarely blowing his top, it takes a lot to work up this side of him. Jason on the other hand, is so different in many ways that it confuses people to know end. As serious as a heart attack, he isn't the type to joke or try to lighten the air, more to just keep pushing through. More on the silent side he doesn't like to talk unless he's got something important to say and when he says something, there are very few times he's not serious. When he isn't serious though, everyone can tell, his sarcasm always thicker than perhaps it needs to be. Strict and organised, he's quick to push people back into line and snap, never one to willing accept others breaking the rules, despite bending them himself at times. Jason has always been an all-work-no-play kind of guy, putting his missions and family before everything else. It's just the way he'd learned to function over the years and with Katelyn under his sole care now it's a constant work out. He barely takes time for himself and will always work over what he needs to and complete things that are hanging loose. Jason, despite being popular, has never been all that good at socialising. Sure, he can chat but most of the time he's quite boring to be around unless his attention has really be caught enough by someone that Jared slips through with very few light jokes. If people thought that stuttering, lost-puppy kid Jason was awkward enough in the love direction, they'd die to see him now. In all honesty he's far from over his wife and any woman even slightly flirting with him will automatically make this guy step back and make excuses to brush them off. Truthfully, he just doesn't see anything in women or men that he could possibly love at the current time except for his daughter, sister and best friend. They're all he's convinced he needs. After his wife's death, he built a wall around himself, keeping everyone at a distance to avoid letting himself get that badly hurt again. It leaves him with few friends and a lonely house, but he doesn't care. He's got everything he needs, or so he's convinced. It's only around his daughter though that people see the real soft center of both Jared and Jason. When that little girl is in the room, he brightens up at once, a smile always on his face as he talks, either to the girl or whoever else is there. If you get in a room with him and that baby in private, then you mean something to him as he won't show his stupid faces and soft, teasing words with just anyone. He is a good father, a fantastic one, even if slightly overbearing. But if your wife was murdered with your daughter witness, wouldn't you be too? Yet, don't take it as this soft side will stop him from doing anything. Even when being Jared, he has his limits and if someone is in his way, his werewolf side won't let them get away without being trodden on first. If he doesn't consider you family, you're going to get crushed because as far as he's concerned, you don't matter. The act makes people think otherwise but it's the truth. He is a wild animal and has killed plenty of times before and he is far from stopping himself from doing it again. The thing people need to see is, Jared and Jason, they don't get angry for a reason. They can't feel anger, it doesn't process as a proper emotion. Anger to them is heat, fire, burning that forces them out of their human skin and into a monster. This animal, he can't control it fully, enough to protect those important to him but everyone else? They're free game. When you see this guy in the street, everyone should learn to be cautious, as they may end up as either an acquaintance, or a late-night snack. ► FATHER: Sir Michael Beckett. (daughter, npc) [/style] [style=margin-top:-30px; height:20px; border-bottom:8px solid #e0e0e0; font-family:georgia; font-style:italic; font-size:28px; letter-spacing:-2px; color:#352020; text-shadow:#000000 1px 1px 2px; text-align:right; text-transform:lowercase]history[/style] Jason's life was never described as easy or typical, after all what sort of life could when you were raised to be a monster? The Becketts have always been far from an unknown family, mostly respected for their place in the royal guard and in doing this were always in the limelight, standing by at events as the royals paraded around. Yet, it wasn't only that. The family for generations has held the werewolf gene, pure bloods from some of the very first werewolves to roam the planet. Births were timed, children being only five when if they didn't change themselves, they were bitten, the gene carrying on in such a way that it always stayed in the bloodline, and other werewolves married and introduced were only accepted if they were at least from a family three generations back. Jason and Nicole from the day they were born, were expected to stick to family tradition, to go into the royal guard or at least something close. Yet, the twins were never normal, never from simply becoming werewolves. They were born late, considered too young to bite, nor did they shift on their own accord. It led to issues their father and mother hadn't wanted to address. Despite not being werewolves however, the two were trained as if they were such. Minds pushed, bodies pushed, constantly running, walking, fighting swimming. The fact they were still human did nothing to stop them from working beside the rest of the family. The only thing it did change was that instead of being home-schooled like their cousins, the two were forced into public schools. It was in this environment they thrived though, Nicole blossoming into a social butterfly who not only aced her studied but lurked high in the popularity ranks and not because she stabbed people in the back. Jason on the other hand, despite being the serious, to-the-point boy he'd be raised as, he still managed to follow his sister's example and rise through the ranks. Being part of the school's cricket and football teams tended to help with that, yet, without being part of those he never would've met his best friend, Scott Bear. Scott from the start was the type of guy many were terrified of. Tallest guy in the school with a loud, frightening voice and tongue to match he was far from accepted. Yet, from the start he and Jason just bonded. Yes, at the age of fourteen both were well respected and riding high in their lived. But, being the age they were come the blood moon they were forced into a change. Or at least it was tried. Jason, he had no choice, shifting that first moon into a monster he came to hate. Yet despite being bitten, his twin wasn't as lucky having nothing but wounds on her. No one understood but it just made the family cut her off. It was only Jason's sheer determination to look after her and keep bonded to his sister than kept the family from touching her. Unlike the rest of the family, they didn't change their schooling, nothing changed beside the extra fighting and urge to kill on Jason's behalf. Despite it being dangerous, removing him alone would've been too suspicious. Yet it was only once he was dangerous though, that most started looking his way. Maybe it was the lure of being a predator, maybe it was just because he made cricket captain. Whatever the reason, the girls came in waves. He was able to keep most of them off until he met Ashley. She wasn’t interested in him, not in the slightest. One of Nicole's best friends and a bookworm, she spent her time in the library, just reading and writing, constantly trying to improve her school scores. She was dedicated yet not the shy person everyone made her out to be. His first meet with her that ended in him with a broken nose proved that if she were to rebel, with her tongue she'd control the school. But being like that had to catch his interest didn't it? He chased after her for a year, studying, improving his own grades, taking a leaf out of her book and trying to just be the sort of guy she'd be remotely interested in. Sure, over time they did get there, formed a friendship and that became something more. He was smitten, and she was cautious. Yet, they just got closer to the point they were always together, best friends beside Nicole and Scott. The four of them were always in the same area, classes, free time, everything. When they were all seventeen though, that was when Jason snapped. They were at the skate park. By the time Jason had given up on keeping to his father's rules and expectations, rebelling from the family ways and letting himself just be a teenager. He and Scott had been showing off on the bikes and boards, Nicole and Ashley just watching and laughing at their less than successful fails. The two guys had turned away for a few moments, but when they turned back, the two girls were surrounded by the idiots that usually hung around the park. They'd stood back at the start, despite being concerned, after all both women were incredibly capable of looking after themselves. It had shocked him, caught him by complete surprise when pain had shot through his shoulder like it was being twisted. Scott had be concerned, but he focused past it, and as the pain worsened, he could pick out his twin's whining from inside the group. It had snapped him. Something so small shouldn't have but it did. He'd lead the way, shoving guys to the side to get to the middle, Scott right behind him. He'd yelled, ordered that they got back, Scott helping. But all the punks did was throw the women to the ground and rest a foot on top of them both. Maybe it was the lack of fighting he'd done or his emotions toward both the humans but he'd shifted, right there and then, the anger bubbling up so quickly and fiercely he hadn't had time to prepare. Those who didn't run at the sight of a wolf-man hybrid were left crying on the ground, two dead. Once he realised what had happened though, he ran. No one saw him for three days until after the full moon when he finally managed to shift back. Yet no charges waited for him, the witnesses weren't able to convince the police he was a werewolf, not to mention no fingerprints or DNA could give him away. It was considered gang violence and shaken off. Yet, everyone knew, everyone had heard the rumour and by the time he returned, covered from head to foot in cuts and bruises, he'd expected to be shunned. Somehow all it did though was give him a proper bad-boy image, the girls falling for him all over again and the guys just wanting to know how he did it. He hadn't cared about them. It was another week till he got Ashley on her own. She kissed him, the moment they were away from prying eyes. He'd expected a punch, maybe for her to be terrified, not the affection that was clear in her eyes. Nothing changed, except for the fact it got around quickly that the two were going out by the sneaked kisses and general attachment that still hadn't changed. With his high grades and ability, he'd been expected to return to the guard. What none of them had guessed would happen was for him to receive an offer to sign up to Scotland Yard. They'd pay for him to go through university and then join their ranks. He'd accepted before his family had even heard and while they weren't pleased, no one could hate the move. Finishing university and starting as a junior agent, Jason had managed to separate himself completely from the family, Nicole, Scott and Ashley following him all the way. At twenty-five, he'd proposed and three months later in a quiet, small ceremony he and Ashley were married. It was at the reception though, that Scott proposed to Nicole. All Jason and Ashley could do was stare at them, the fact their best friends (and twin) had been dating something they hadn't even noticed. Twenty-six years old and rising through the ranks quickly, Scott and Nicole entering into the same department a few years after he did, he was happy with everything he'd ever wanted. Ashley was pregnant and Nicole and Scott were finally married. At twenty-seven though, it changed. He had a beautiful wife and an adorable baby girl they'd named Katelyn, yet certain people had picked up on what he was and the attention he got through Scotland Yard was not the best kind. The hunter had come from no where, another agent he'd worked with for years. It had been a break-room brawl, an out of the blue fight. It ended in the hunter pinned under Jason's weight, only Scott able to pull him off the guy. Whatever he did, it upset the guy more than it should have. That was only the first running however, as time after time whenever they were in the same room it would end in a fight until finally, two things happened. He'd been on a mission in Cardiff, returning home at past nine. He was greeted with his daughter crying her heart out in a dead silent house. That was far from normal and he was at once alert, stalking up the stairs to Katelyn's room. He was far from expecting the bloodied sight that swarmed his vision. Ashley's body lay on the floor, throat slit along with many other cuts covering her skin. He was literally sick on the floor, barely able to breath for a good half an hour until his daughter's crying sunk through. Picking up the baby, her cot and clothes splattered with her mother's blood, he'd moved like a shadow, calling the police and getting a bottle, before collapsing by his wife's body, absently comforting the baby in his arms as the authorities moved around him. The second thing however, was less than pleasant. Leaving Katelyn with Nicole and Scott, he'd left with one goal and that was to kill the hunter in question who he knew did that. The confrontation was slow and could only be described as torture as Jason trapped the human, pinning him against the nearest wall and slowly giving him every wound that had been on his wife's body, waiting till the man was finishing screaming in pain, still conscious but only just, before beheading him. Killing a hunter wasn't a good move and soon, he had the whole league on his tail which left him with only one option. He was twenty-nine, and unable to do anything without giving himself away. With Scott and Nicole's help he gave himself and his daughter new identities, slipping under the radar. |
