[atrb=background,http://i39.tinypic.com/ruu3bm.jpg] She never liked death, the mourning period she avoided and also the people. She didn't even attend her own parents funeral , but instead came after to say her peace and then she never came back until today. It was not choice of hers, but Ezekiel was persistent in coaxing her to go see her parents graves, have a heart he had told her. Although in a joking way it wounded her slightly to think someone could actually get that opinion of her, she wasn't heartless or cold but you wouldn't know from how she acted lately. She hated her own self when she looked back and all she could see was her on the couch watching Tv or sleeping; what a waste of a life. She hadn't talked to anyone or socialized and when she does decide to go out she runs into Maverick and ends up in a fight! To say the least it discouraged her and then the next time she runs into Jason and he points out the fact he hasn't seen or heard from her in awhile and even Nicky mentioned not spending enough time with her. Anni could see that Nicky was blaming herself for that, but it was perhaps more her fault; she knew where Nicky lived and all the places she frequented, but she made no move to ever visit. She had moved out of the dorms months back, not officially of course, the room was still there with most of her stuff in it, but she now lived with her cousin, but she decided soon she would be changing that arrangement and moving back into her dorm. It in the end would be for the best, get back to before she seemed to go into some sort of depression. Of course she was stupid enough to tell Zeke all of this and he agreed, but said she needed to visit her parents graves as some sort of official marker of starting over. He was the emotional one who found meaning in everything while she would just do it, but then again with her stupidity she promised him so here she was walking the rows of headstones. She remembered how much of a fight it was convincing her parents years back to be buried here and not Russia where they were originally from; her family went generations back to Russia and Anni and her brother were the first to be born in the states and here. She didn't have a Russian accent and if not for her name there would be no way to tell, but she spoke it fluently and spent enough summers in Russia to consider herself Russian; her parents would have it no other way. The point though was there would be no money to pretty much ship them to Russia and have the funeral there then bury them. She ended up getting her older brother to talk some sense into them and that was that, they were buried here. The corners of her lips twitched upwards some at a memory of after her brother talked to them her father muttering under his breathe in Russian about big headed sons and manipulative daughters going to still control them after the grave. She could only could only laugh at the sulking look on his face while her brother just scowled and stomped out of the house and sit outside for nearly an hour. It was mean to call her family dysfunctional , but that is exactly what Jason had called it once. Their families went back to perhaps even before they were born, it was how they met each other and later ended up dating; they grew up together or atleast knew each other since they were kids. She did know however that perhaps she didn't know him the same way Drake did, he knew his secrets and perhaps knew him better, but she didn't want to know any of that. Stopping she crossed her arms loosely over her chest, gripping her arms against the slight chill that was still melting away in spring. It thankfully was a sunny day, she liked rain , but she could only take so much before she wanted to kill whoever invented it. Today she simply wore a pair of black jeans with the ends frayed a bit and a layered spaghetti strap shirt with the colors black and white as the undershirt. Over that was a light and thin purple sweater, alot of good it was doing her though. Rolling her eyes she just stood there not sure what to say. Damned Zeke and his stupid ways of making her promise and then him running out of the house like he actually had something to do, he never had anything to do! "So...." She blew out a deep puff of air and let her arms fall to her sides. "Yeah, this is going well." She began to mutter slightly under her breathe in Russian about family and stupid Ezekiel. |
