I'm on the outside, looking down What do I see? So much of this cold, in the ground Where would i be? On the outside, looking down Cover me before you go
So it's goodbye again
The water lapping at the shoreline seemed to be the music to her ears as she sat at the edge of the water line. Rowan couldn’t remember the last time she had been at a lake. Much of her time was with Peter trying to figure out how to control herself because she really wasn’t embracing herself as a werewolf very well. She seemed lost in the madness even if she had been a werewolf for a few years as it was. Rowan was lost as to how this could have happened and she wasn’t exactly ready to embrace that inner wolf inside of her. Maybe you could say she still thought herself to be merely human, not something that turned furry once a month.
The night air swirled around her as she sat on the edge of waterline. She didn't want to do much of anything else. Right now, sitting there felt like the best thing she could do right now without bothering anyone. She still didn't quite know anyone here and wasn't sure how to go about to know what was going on. She felt a tension in the area, but it wasn't something she couldn't quite explain even to herself. Rowan was a very shy and quiet girl who often didn't go to find trouble, it somehow always found her. Maybe it was Peter's fault. He was one that seemed to be attracted to trouble and always brought it with him wherever he went.
Peter was off somewhere, at least he wasn't here to bother her. She didn't want to see him tonight. She was still angry with that man after all of these years traveling with him. She wanted to go back home and be comforted by her brother and father, but Peter told her they weren't to know to keep them safe. She didn't like that, but she listened to him. If she couldn't tell anyone, then why did he turn her? It was a mystery as to why she was turned in the first place. Rowan wanted a normal life and sitting on the shore seemed make it seem like she was normal. And that she had a normal life.
Right now she was hoping something magical would happen and allow her to be normal again. She couldn't understand how anyone could enjoy being a werewolf. It seemed weird that such a thing could happen to someone who didn't want to be furry once a month. Rowan didn't like it. She wanted there to be a cure to get away from being furry. She wanted away from Peter, but he kept forcing her to stay with him or he would kill their family. Things weren't fair. She didn't like it. A few tears had rolled down her face as she stared out toward the water. She didn't expect anyone to be here, but the noises behind her, didn't seem to startle her as she stared out to the lake, dreaming of a normal life.

BURN ALL YOU LOVE.Adam Hale felt like the hulk.
With each passing day with this new found curse, Adam was discovering more and more things about being a werewolf that he didn't like. The entire transformation process, for one, was the most painful thing Adam ever had to endure, he still not use to the pain it brought with each full moon. Then, of course there was all the hair .. oh so much hair. Another thing that Adam hated, hence why he was normally clean shaven, neat and tidy. There was the fact that he was a danger to everyone he knew and loved, and of course, his hulk like feature : the lack on control. On his anger mostly, but there were a few other things that the newborn werewolf had little to no grasp of control on. He's been working on it, much like Bruce Banner would as the Hulk, Adam finding out that if he got angry enough he could change. That was just not going to do. Mr. Hale was surprised he hasn't had that happen already, having so many violent encounters with people as it is. He really needed to get a better grasp on this or it would just cause more pain and misery for others.
As he stood in front of the mirror at his home, Adam stared at the many scars that littered his torso and stomach, his hand running over the ones that were healed the most over the past year or so. They were still pretty awful looking, the attack nothing less then gruesome. He was lucky he survived actually, he thankful for that neighbor who happened to save his life that night. He would have sent him a christmas card every year had he not run off the way he did. Adam was pretty sure he would be a little freaked out if he got a card from someone that was pronounced dead by his family. Hand falling back down to his side Adam looked over to the Galaxy phone that had replaced his iPhone for the time being (Blast you, Poppy), checking the time. Having plenty of time before the sun set, Adam grabbed his T-shirt and his black jacket before slipping into his converse and exiting his rather crummy apartment.
Adam's destination was actually pretty far away, he deciding to take a trip to Lake Marshall. It was on the outskirts of town, Adam's apartment at lest a mile form the town line. He was up for the walk though, the fresh fall air starting to settle in was refreshing for him, it always helped him clear his head when things weren't exactly straight forward. Then again nothing really seems to be straight forward with him since last year, something that he has come to accept, for the most part anyways. As his feet hit the concrete one after another, Adam rolled his eyes at the sound of the Nyan Cat dub step remix started to plague his ears again, he reaching into his pocket to shut off the ringer of the annoying ass phone he was left with. Shoving it back into his pocket he continued along his way, crossing many streets and cars in traffic. The walk, in total, took about a half hour, Adam guessing that the lake was a good two or three miles away from his apartment. But the walk would be rewarding for him in the end, he hoping to have the lake shore to himself like he usually did when he ventured there this time of day.
Unfortunately though, that was not the case. Adam stopped when he spotted a girl with long blond hair sitting at the shore, staring at the exact spot he wanted to place his lazy bum down. He debated about going to find another place to sit but said fuck no to that idea, not letting this floozie push him out of his favorite spot. So he invaded her personal space, taking a seat beside her and getting himself comfortable. He didn't say anything to her at first, not until he glanced over in her direction to notice a tear or two streaming down her face. He gave an annoyed sigh. "This has got to be the most cliche thing I have ever seen," he murmured to himself, but loud enough for her to hear him. His one blue one brown eye focused out onto the water, Adam trying his best not to let the sour puss ruin his good view.

I'm on the outside, looking down What do I see? So much of this cold, in the ground Where would i be? On the outside, looking down Cover me before you go
So it's goodbye again
This has got to be the most cliche thing I have ever seen," The voice came from the man who plopped down next to her inches from what was comfortable. Rowan didn't understand why he was sitting so close to her she hadn't done anything to him, so she couldn't understand why he sounded annoyed. "Cliche thing? What are you? Just out of secondary school or something?" Rowan's voice was clear as she spoke, not the slightest bit of annoyance could be heard from it. So many people were surprised that she never raised her voice when she was mad, unless it was something that was truly digging into her skin.
She had wiped the tears away with the back of her hand as she wondered what was going to happen now that this bloke was sitting next to her. She couldn't understand how he could be so rude and not really give a shit about personal space. She grabbed her things and started to get up, the heels of her vans digging into the sand as she stood up. There wasn't much left for her at the moment anyways. She would just get a move on to the next thing that would keep her occupied until Peter found her. She didn't want to see him tonight, but somehow that man always found her and made her feel like shit when she didn't want it to.
"I hope you're happy, you childish brat." She started to walk off in hopes of finding another location around the lake that was a bit more secure and quiet than the one she found that was gladly taken. The emotions were running high tonight and she couldn't make them go away. Did this happen because of what she was now? Were these emotions the result of being a werewolf? She remembered Peter saying something about everything being heightened but she never believed him since half the shit he said was a bunch of crap as it was.
She plopped down onto the sand a few hundred yards away from the man who invaded the space she was so gladly hoping to have to herself. Rowan just sat there hugging her knees as she stared out at the lake. There was a slight movement from her as if she was rocking back and forth to gain a better control of herself. It was hard for her to do such a thing while trying to control the emotions of not seeing her family and telling them everything about what Peter is and what he had done to her. The shear thought of them being killed by Peter brought on another wave of tears as she placed her head on her knees, her eye sockets resting on the top of the knees to gather the falling tears. It didn't bother her that she had an audience to see her, she just wanted to be left alone.

BURN ALL YOU LOVE.As Adam sat at the lake he wasn't sure what was worse. The fact that this girl was here or the fact that she was crying. In all honesty it made Adam pretty uncomfortable with the entire situation, but he was sure it made her even more uncomfortable. So uncomfortable that she even decided to get up and leave. He paid little to no attention to her comments, his anger rising slightly as she attempted to insult his intelligence. Oh no no no. That was not going to fly with Mr. Adam Hale. "Secondary school? That's the best you have?" Adam asked her, a small laugh passing by his lips as he did so. It was one of those 'you've got to be kidding me' kind of laughs. He was pretty annoyed at this point. Even if she didn't raise her voice to him Adam surely made it known that he was peeved and annoyed at her being there."Leave my presence, swine," he hissed at her, watching as she got the tears away from her face and got to her feet, but not without one last remark.
He could only roll his eyes at her remark, feeling even more angry the before at this girl. He wanted to just pick her up, throw her into the water and watch her drown. But he resisted his violent tendency, lifting his hand and giving her that 'sheew' motion just to further the notion that he wanted her to leave. Adam was glad that she got up and just moved like that, he was honestly expecting more a fight from her but he was glad he didn't have to completely ruin the poor girls day. If Poppy was here right now she would have surely yelled at Adam for the way he treated her, but she wasn't here which meant Adam was able to be his normal jerk-off self to everyone he met. Poppy was an exception he did not intend to make again, considering now she was in his life and he really didn't want her to be.
Picking up some rocks at his feet, Adam started to toss them into the lack observing the water as it gently crashed against the shore. He kept his eyes forward for a moment, Adam's one blue and one brown eye scanning the surroundings, trying to take in everything there was to offer here. His eyes fell upon the girl he just viciously kicked out of her spot, Adam sighing to see her face to her knees, no doubt crying again. He wasn't that mean to her, was he? Either way she was ruining Adam's scenery, and that wasn't cool. He came here to relax and cool down a bit, not watch some girl cry. Picking up a small pebble he looked over to where she was sitting and threw it at her, aiming it so it would hit her right in the side of the head. At lest that is what he was going for, he couldn't really tell if it hit her from where he was sitting. "Oi!" he called to her, trying to get her attention again. "You're making this beautiful scenery awfully depressing." he hollered to her, cupping his hands over his mouth and continued "If you're really going to cry over this bloody spot by the lake you can have it back," he yelled, getting to his feet and waiting for her reaction. This should be interesting.

I'm on the outside, looking down What do I see? So much of this cold, in the ground Where would i be? On the outside, looking down Cover me before you go
So it's goodbye again
"Secondary school? That's the best you have?" She apparently hit a nerve there as she left. Well good, that would teach the idiot to sit down so close to someone. Though she hadn't been expecting the next bit of shit to come through his mouth. "Leave my presence, swine." The boy surely had a mouth. That was quite sure. At least she was dignified in her name calling and called him a brat, not a pig. Where was this boy's mother to clean his mouth out with soap? Shouldn't he have been taught a bit more respect for girls who were crying their eyes out?
She had simply ignored him to this point, but it didn't go without regrets when she looked up to stare out at the water when she felt a small pebble hit her. How could someone throw a rock that far a distance? Obviously this boy was an idiot who didn't know his own strength or he was another one of those monsters like herself. Something she wasn't quite sure of herself, but either way she needed to know because then she could get away from him before things got out of hand.
Grabbing her stuff, she stood up and started to walk back over toward him. "Oi! You're making this beautiful scenery awfully depressing. If you're really going to cry over this bloody spot by the lake you can have it back." She could hear him loud and clear even if he didn't have to cup his hands around his mouth to yell at her. "Why do you think I'm crying over the damn spot by the lake? You couldn't see that I was crying before your sorry ass came to sit down, werewolf? Don't try to hide it. Only one of those beasts could throw a rock that far to hit me." Rowan's voice was calm and steady, but it was to the point and very stern as she spoke as if she meant business. Rowan wasn't going to fool around tonight, but this fool was definitely not going to ruin her night much more by calling her a cry baby over something he obviously thought was stupid even if he hadn't known the real reason as to why she was crying.

BURN ALL YOU LOVE.It didn't take a lot to get Adam mad, annoyed, or generally pissed off at a person. So naturally, everything that this random crying girl was saying mad him want to punch her in the mouth. What annoyed him the most was the lack of emotion in her voice. She was calm and collected it appeared, even though she was a hysteric mess an insulting him. Now that was something that made his blood boil. Why? Because to Adam it appeared that she was being fake, or just trying really hard to make herself look like something she isn't. So with each word she slurred in his direction he did not respond, not wanting to hear anymore of her petty insults in that nice calm tone of hers. What the girl had said meant nothing to him, she had no struck a chord or hit a nerve that made him mad. It was just her and her intolerable presence.
He really didn't except the girl to start coming over to him once he hit her with a rock. Though he should have expected it, considering he did just hit her with a pebble. He should have known better then to taunt an obviously over emotional woman by calling her awful things and throwing shit at her. Then again he was use to the company of Poppy, who was more or less the easiest female to get along with - hell, the easiest person to get along with - in human history. It didn't help that Adam had the worst temper problem of anyone he has met before, but that goes without saying. So as he watched her come back over, honey an crystal colored eyes watching her ever stomping step he merely snarled, giving a rather disgusted look when she finally got up to him. He listened to her words carefully, and started to retort. "Listen, I don't know if it's your time of the month, but get a tampon and - "
He stopped, his male voice that was overpowering her calm smooth tone just stopped abruptly when he heard the term werewolf. He got to his feet, fuming with hatred as he tried his very best to control his anger so he wouldn't hurt her. Male or female, he was ashamed to admit his fury knew no boundaries. "Listen, dog" he sneered, getting closer to her as he lowered her voice to just above a growl. "The fact you know I'm a wolf by something so minuscule means you're one too. A pathetic one at that. So why don't you run along back to whatever depressive state you were just in and get the fuck out of my face before I hold your head under water," he snapped, his anger talking more than anything else. Oh Adam, what happen to you?

[style=font-family: times; font-size: 12px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-transform: lowercase; color: #989898; font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;] 350 WORDS FOR Adam Maxwell Halehere is her outfit. whoever made this should have put something in that allowed lyrics. Haha. I wanted to put something that matched Rowan's mood, but nothing works for one word to replace the dream of the layout. darn. haha. DREAM [/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #6d6d6d;] [style=padding: 10px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; height: 475px; overflow: auto; color: #1e1e1e;]Rowan seemed surprised that she got something through to the male about his actions. It was surprising enough that her small frame could easily do something to someone who didn't want to listen. Apparently by yelling out werewolf to someone made them have to think about what had just happened and if it was the real deal or not. She liked doing that to people. Saying something and watching the look on their face trying to figure out what had just happened to them to make them stop doing whatever it was that they were doing.
"Listen, dog. The fact you know I'm a wolf by something so minuscule means you're one too. A pathetic one at that. So why don't you run along back to whatever depressive state you were just in and get the fuck out of my face before I hold your head under water,"
Rowan laughed. She actually laughed at him. He thought she was depressed? Maybe in a way she was, but not something she wanted to return to. "Why would you think such a thing? Are you just assuming I'm a werewolf or something? Because a normal human couldn't have tossed that stone so far to have hit me. And I only know that because I was too far away from someone normal to do that. I've come across werewolves before. Some of them are nastier than you, so try and do whatever it is you want to do. I'm not some depressed bitch wanting attention. If I wanted that I would have done it town, not at the lake." She had a point as she spoke.
If she wanted the attention from everyone to notice her, she would have gone and did it in a place more public than something that's hardly visited at night. "Why would you do such a thing to a woman anyways? Hold their head under water? That's just cruel and many other people wouldn't approve of it. None of the other werewolves around here wouldn't. That would just be cold blood without a reason to attack. Especially when I was here first." [/style] |
