EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN IS INTUNE, BUT THE SUN IS ECLIPSED BY THE MOON.
During the day, Memorial park is one of the most beautiful and active places in this god forsaken town. Families, couples, people with pets and all kinds of other people litter the grass and benches. It was always crowded and full of life, people staying past sunset when the park was dimly lit before retreating to their homes for the evening. Adam Hale was a strange one, because he hated going to the park during the day. You will never see him trotting through the park during the day with the rest of the civilized world, rather at night when no one was around. It wasn't often that Adam wanted to visit the park, but sometimes he missed star gazing like he use to before his attack. It was a bittersweet activity for him, because the last time he partook in such activities he was attacked. Still he went out to the park several times at ungodly hours since the fall weather set in, mainly because fall/winter is the best time to view the sky.
It was about 1:30 AM, Adam wearing a pair of jeans and a light sweatshirt to keep him warm from the slight fall chill that was starting to plague Ashford. His hands in his pockets he didn't carry anything with him but an iPod, his headphones resting in his ears with music playing as he walked to the beat with every step. In Adam's opinion, this was the best time of day to head to the park. No one was around, no loud noises or obnoxious children. He was really able to enjoy himself for once, relax and enjoy walking through the nature filled park. Calm his mind, clear his head and relax - thats all he wanted to do so maybe he can get some sleep tonight. He probably wouldn't of been out there if he was able to sleep tonight, but reoccurring nightmares were something that always consumed his sleep. Another nightmare of his attack kept him up until he decided a walk was the best thing for him right now. Adam was glad he came onto that conclusion because right now this was the most peaceful the newborn has felt in a while.
He eventually took a seat on a bench by the fountain, the sound of running water soothing. Adam was somewhat interested as to why they kept the fountain running at night, no one in their right min would be out here now - except for him, of course. None the less he was thankful for the view, the fountain shining brilliantly in the dimly lit park. Adam sighed, tilting his head back to look up at the sky, his legs being completely stretching out straight as he did so, hands intertwined and resting on his stomach. It was a beautiful night to be out looking at the stars. Not a cloud in sight and the moon wasn't as overpowering as usual in the sky because of it's lack of shape. His eyes fell upon the moon for a moment, Adam remembering how much he use to love looking at the moon through his telescope, but now he couldn't stand the sight of it. Blinking, Adam was drawn out of thought by the sound of an animal not far from his position, he tilting his head forward to see a small cat standing by the fountain, meowing as he looked in his direction. Adam smiled. He loved cats. Well - loved was an understatement. He wasn't sure why he liked them so much, but he has never had one of his own. He grinned, getting to his feet and walking slowly over to it while holding out his hand, calling it softly to come to him. anyone watching right now could see the old Adam shining through, the gentlemen with hope and love for almost all creatures instead of the killer he has become. But once he reached the cat it immediately arches it's back, fur standing on it's ends as the cat hissed at him, swatting at his hand and making contact before running off into the darkness. Adam pulled his hand back immediately, feeling the contact of the cat's nails and his flesh. He groaned, seeing the blood drip from his fingers as he grew angry, kicking the edge of the fountain in frustration and aggravation. "fuck you too, cat," he murmured.
He can't even hide himself from a cat.
