He held no doubt she possibly had a concussion and that when she did awaken her head would be pounding tremendously as would her body throb and ache from the odd angle she was laid out upon the couch; a leather and expensive one he might add. He feared more of blood stains never coming out from the leather more than he was the young womans over-all health or condition. Drake has been upon entering the house been more than prepared to forcefully wake her up and ask her what it was she had observed and once gaining the information no longer bothering with her by killing her which in how he had planned to do it was a kindness. All eyes had turned to him once entering with the girl in his arms and it caught the attention of his brother who managed to shoot Drake an questioning look and also one meaning he wanted to talk to his brother which he ignored. He didn't care much for the looks the few who seemed to hang about his house on the occasion shot him; it wasn't difficult to determine she was a human and it surprised some that he would bring a human into his own house when his views and opinions on them was more than clean and expressed often. He had found the girl in some back alley hidden behind a dumpster as if she were hiding from someone or something, it happened to be the same spot supposedly that one of the Ortega used often to take victims. He wondered if this girl was one, but dismissed the idea knowing she would not have been in as good condition as she was, now instead he concluded she was the sorry victim of wrong place and wrong time. Smirking at his own joke he had kicked the dumpster sideways to reveal her fully to his blue eyes and also give a view of himself to her. He flashed a wolfish grin full of white teeth down at her, gripping her upper arm he lifted her to her feet and was originally going to confront her there, but it seemed his grabbing her had jolted her back to life. Her thrashing began; arms and legs in which her elbow landed to his ribs, but instead of releasing or loosening his grip it only tightened and his good mood had instantly vanished.
Wrapping his arm around her stomach he hauled her against him to sub-due her thrashing and that is when the screaming started with her throwing her head back to connect with his nose and break the bone. He had caught the almost triumphant smile she showed at hearing her achievement at breaking his nose, but it turned into a frown as she felt herself lifted. Drake was loosing his patience with the human girl and he needed to set his nose back before it started healing and he would be forced to re cause the break to fix it properly. Craning his neck out of her striking range he tossed the girl to the side hoping too knock her unconscious or atleast wind her to give him time before she ran or of foolish enough rushed him, instead he heard the sickening thump of her body colliding with the wall and even a small crack of her skull hitting the ground; well she was out. Sandwiching his nose between his hands he inhaled and in the exhale placed the bone back in place while pinching the bridge in agitation, not many of his own kind were able to get so much as a scratch on him usually and this small human had managed to break his nose. Looking down on her he examined her for the first time---not unattractive, but there was no a scrape on her head along with various marks and scratches on her hands, arms and he suspected knees. Not to mention the soreness in her ribs she would no doubt feel. He decided he wasn't going to get his answers at the moment or even that night, so he picked her up and headed home.
Which is where we found him now; entering a backroom he had none too gently tossed her upon the couch not concerned of the odd angle her limbs were posed and bent; he wanted her to wake up so he could deal with this problem completely. Find out who the idiot was to so stupidly reveal himself when a human was not inches away, he liked to think they had more tact than what was proven that night. Eying her one more time he growled under his breathe before leaving the room; it was just himself and Theta in the house since the rest were run out hours ago. Stopping by a small table he poured himself a glass of an amber liquid which was no doubt some form of alcohol he thought about the girl; he had no set plan or set of action on what to do with the human who was now passed out in his home smelling of blood. Raising the glass to his lips he was still mulling over his thoughts waiting for when his brother would finally broach the subject of the unconscious girl.

The sound level had been getting ridiculously loud, but as soon as he came prancing through the door with that human, the whole place had quietened down to a level that he could actually focus on what he was reading. Least he didn't have a problem with remembering what he'd already read. Looking up over the book however, his gaze had briefly met Drake's questioningly. While he was thankful for it, that didn't mean he wasn't going to ask questions. Yet, he hadn't left straight off, he'd waited, focusing back on his book until the whole place had finally cleared out.
It was only when the last few had prowled out the door, that he'd put his book down. The house was technically Drake's, but most of the pack still spent a ridiculous amount of time there, so much it was almost irritating. But, as long as they didn't bug him too much, he doubted they'd stop coming. He supposed it just came with the place belonging to the pack leader. Scratching his chin lightly with one hand, the other jammed in his pocket, the twin leaned back into the couch for a long moment, his acute hearing focused on the silent house until finally, the faintest creaking of a door caught his attention. The wolf had finally surfaced it seemed.
Climbing to his feet, theta signed. Truthfully, he couldn't care less about what Drake did to his prey, but if he brought them home that was a whole new basket of fish. Making his way through the open living area, Theta moved off toward the back room, only just catching sight of Drake as he moved past, which of course brought him to an abrupt stop. Spinning around, he reached up with hook his fingers onto the top of the door frame, leaning inside with a questioning look still settled across his face. He didn't say anything for a long moment though, just watched his brother with a kind of curiosity, until the words he needed came.
“I usually try to keep my nose out of your business,” he started, still leaning in from the doorway. “But, what was all that about? The moment you start bringing prey home, the pack's gonna think we're doing some sick sort of feast.” Finally dropping his arms, Theta stepped properly into the room, closing the door behind him so it was just the two of them in there. The last thing they needed was someone coming back and overhearing them. Sure, everyone knew Theta was the soft-hearted one, but questioning Drake to the point he wanted to? That would lead to awful things.
Prowling to the table, he rested his palms against the surface, leaning in with a tilt to his head. “Not to mention, what are you planning on doing to the kid?” none currently ~ |

“I usually try to keep my nose out of your business,” Drake snorted loudly in such a manner that would leave no illusion he was mocking his brother; pivoting on his heel slightly he threw his brother a mocking glare. "Then why don't you practice what you preach, brother and remove your nose from my business?" He raised his brow in question not liking that pause in which could only mean there was a 'but' coming that would contradict his brothers previous statement. “But, what was all that about? The moment you start bringing prey home, the pack's gonna think we're doing some sick sort of feast.” His knuckles turned white from the grip on the glass within his hand that was inches from his lips, pausing to let his eyes flash in warning at Theta who by Drakes standards was pushing the limits of his questioning him. He had always been flexible when it came to his brother because in his own way he cared for and even loved Theta; never blaming him for their fathers complete lack of attention to-ward Drake or even disliking him in anyway, but it seemed Theta also looked down on him or even felt pity for him and his actions; like he was a sick dog who needed to be put down for its' own good. He was only following Drake around in order to keep an eye on him, not blaming him, but also not forgiving him for killing their father which baffled the mind of Drake. Jedadiah was no saint who very few seemed to miss and he would have believed Theta knew that, but his brother was such a soft sort he cared too much about others. A prime example was now as he stood before Drake with his hands down on the table almost taking up a Drake like stance that in some ways irked him. “Not to mention, what are you planning on doing to the kid?”
Tipping the glass back he raised his brow over the rim with an almost mocking grin; "Why are you so concerned? You never expressed interest in wanting to know my business before." If it was one thing Drake enjoyed immensely was teasing and even at times pushing Theta back and forth in a bullying like way, being the only one these days able to throw around the other Beldon knowing his only defense was in fact to mimic Drake. "Wish for me to let you deal with the little human?" Placing the tumblr down he rounded the table to be standing beside his brother, personal space seeming to be non-existent as his face was inches from Theta's. "I would love to see you resolve this problem, watch that sweet and tender expression of yours melt away into something more...." His grin threatened to split his face, snapping his white teeth near his brothers ear while laughing. "Into something more like ME,brother." Almost like a child he tapped Theta's nose while throwing him a mocking pout. "You already play me so well..why not just become me and throw out all those silly little morals you posses that are nothing more if not annoying and your desperate attempt to be human." Perhaps that is what bothered Drake so much was that his brother clung to his humanity so tightly afraid to in fact become like Drake that he only would increase his constant antagonizing ways and pushing him to become like himself; for once embrace the fact they were never human.
"What if I said I was going to torture; break her mind AND body in every single way that brain of yours could even come up with, perhaps even some you couldn't. Make her hate herself and feel like nothing, but a disgusting any beneath me, make her scream until her throat bleeds and she chokes on it. Bruise every inch of her to get my own pleasure and entertainment." He swayed for-ward some while cracking a crooked grin and lowering his voice to a whisper. "Is death not a mercy compared? Wish to be her angel and grant that mercy?" Locking his eyes with his brothers he only continued to grin, knowing if anything his words had stung, disgusted and even gotten beneath the skin of his brother.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 400px; background-color: #343434; padding:20px; border-top: 10px #90af92 solid; border-bottom: 10px #90af92 solid;] we could rule the world ( WORDS ) 858 ( TAGGED ) DRAKE BELDON ( STATUS ) COMPLETE There was a fine line when it came to Drake, one that he wasn't too sure about whether it's existence was good or not. One one side, was his adoration and compassion for his twin, understanding why he'd developed the way he had. The other half was his growing hatred and disgust at the attitude he seemed to like using most of the time. He was always walking down that line, swaying between the two sides but not completely stepping off onto either side. He couldn't afford to. However, with the mocking snort Drake gave out, he was swaying more toward the hating side. "Then why don't you practice what you preach, brother and remove your nose from my business?" Yeah, 'cause if he did that people would get out alive.
Leaning forward, he raised an eyebrow, watching the warning cross Drake's eyes with little interest. Sure, he knew his limits, but right there and then he wasn't about to just back down. Not when he had a chance at limiting the damage that could be done. If it was in the house, he had part of the say in it after all. Not because he had any claim, but for some reason Drake listened partly when they were alone. "Why are you so concerned? You never expressed interest in wanting to know my business before." Frowning, he gave a half-shrug, crossing his legs slightly. “Your business, doesn't usually enter the house.”
"Wish for me to let you deal with the little human?" Oh great. He knew where this was going and it make his nose wrinkle up slightly. Straightening, he turned to face Drake as he moved, not backing down as his twin shoved his face forward. Theta rested a hand back on the table, an unamused look settling on his face. "I would love to see you resolve this problem, watch that sweet and tender expression of yours melt away into something more... into something more like me, brother." Yep, definitely that direction. Theta let out a long sigh, pulling a face slightly as he ran his tongue over the top of his teeth.
"You already play me so well... why not just become me and throw out all those silly little morals you posses that are nothing more if not annoying and your desperate attempt to be human." Swiping away Drake's hand as he pressed it against his nose, the werewolf growl slightly. That wasn't how it went and Drake knew that. He'd always been like this, the one with feelings, who actually cared and could be something other than what his animal wished him to be. While he never showed it, he liked to think it made him the better man, being able to separate both. Maybe that was why he followed Drake around, to try and point out that they don't need to be monsters all because they can change.
“What if I said I was going to torture; break her mind and body in every single way that brain of yours could even come up with, perhaps even some you couldn't.” Off he went, taking the direct route about getting a spike out of him, and it was working. One hand curling into a fist at his side, he just stared back at Drake as his twin continued. “Make her hate herself and feel like nothing, but a disgusting any beneath me, make her scream until her throat bleeds and she chokes on it. Bruise every inch of her to get my own pleasure and entertainment." Maybe that was another thing that scared him, that Drake would do all that if he found himself in the situation that he could.
Swallowing the bile that was rising up his throat, Theta leaned forward slightly, keeping his face neutral, though the slightest flickers of disgust lingered in his eyes. "Is death not a mercy compared? Wish to be her angel and grant that mercy?" There were many ways he could answer that, but only one seemed to come to mind. “Neither of us, is killing the girl.” He could stand it when Drake went an abused people outside the house, when he'd go out and kill for no reason. Even when he'd torture people outside when they'd done something or got in his way. But a frightened girl who was now in their back room? He was putting his foot down.
“Let me put this in a way that will appeal to your sick mind,” he said softly, not quite a whisper but not quite a hiss. “The girl's done nothing. If she saw something and you want to make sure she doesn't tell, why not just keep her here? As long as you don't hurt her, maybe she'll entertain you enough for your disgusting games.” Leaning back, he stuffed his hands back in his pockets. “Otherwise, give her a fortnight. If God help me she doesn't entertain you enough, then you can do what you wish to her.” He shouldn't be bossing Drake around as much as he is, but he can't see anyone killed for no reason in their house. Not there. -sighs- he needs a lesson on how to talk to drake so he doesn't get hurt. |

“Neither of us, is killing the girl.” He was already regretting not walking to his own room upon leaving the girl in the study, wishing he could do so now and leave his brother there thinking that he had won while all he had done was test the restrains of Drakes' anger and willingness to harm his brother. Crossing his own feet at the ankle and resting his arms against his chest he only raised his brow, not saying a word until he was sure Theta was done preaching off from his moral pedestal. “Let me put this in a way that will appeal to your sick mind, the girl's done nothing. If she saw something and you want to make sure she doesn't tell, why not just keep her here? As long as you don't hurt her, maybe she'll entertain you enough for your disgusting games.” His teeth gnashed together in contempt as Theta managed to flame his temper even higher while throwing out orders; perhaps it was his fault and he had given his brother the false impression that he could order and tell Drake how things were to work and what would or would not happen. He obviously played too nicely with his brother in allowing him leniency when it came to what he said or did; he was his brother after-all and he still could not bring himself to hurt him in any way besides words that could sting and cut. It in a way made him psychically sick to even imagine hurting Theta and he could conclude his brother was aware of this fact if only partly and used it against Drake to drive his point and words into the other Beldon twin.
“Otherwise, give her a fortnight. If God help me she doesn't entertain you enough, then you can do what you wish to her.” Pausing he waited to see if he would continue or if this was at last the end of his sermon to save the soul of some poor girl. "Keep ordering me around and I will throw you too the dogs. Literally." The threat was dangerous and his voice was on the edge of snapping anger; obvious was it that he was restraining himself fully from snapping at Theta or letting his mouth get away with him, but Drake wasn't known for ever taking in anothers feelings into consideration when he spoke to them. However it wasn't completely true that he would let any harm come to Theta, but there were other ways of getting his point across that physically harming his own blood. Public knowledge was Drake was a manipulative man with multiple ways of getting around his word and promises and if anyone was more aware of this than anyone it would be the only brother of Drake. "You are more than just my brother Theta, you are all the family I have left and so I will tell you this, just this once and overlook your obvious mistake in giving me an order." Stepping for-ward he placed both hands on his shoulders, fingers digging in, in a not so gentle grasp while he leaned for-ward to meet his brothers stare head on with his own more cold and deadly. "Stay out of my business." There was no usual smirk that followed his verbal warning, just a long stretch of silence with Drake burning his brother with his blue eyes, but a small look of sympathy did pass his cold eyes.
"Besides...we both know you don't want to be involved in my world and your just here for the ride, so do yourself a favor and think about what words are about to come out of your mouth." His grip tightened painfully on his shoulders while his voice lowered into a growl, again it was just a warning for Theta to consider how their future conversations went. Finally releasing him and stepping back he turned as if too leave, but stopped and raised his index finger as if he forgot something. "As for your..request for the girl to live and stay here; your suggestion to submit her too mental and psychical torture and in a way leave her to the wolves will be taken into consideration." His grin soon returned while his brow raised; "You do realize you are in a way condemning her? How is leaving her at my mercy any better than giving her the relief of death? You my brother are much darker than you realize."

Despite the fact they were brothers, there was just that understanding there, that Drake ordered and he did as he was told. Yet with this? Somehow, he found giving the girl a chance to live was slightly better than her being killed in whatever way Drake fancied first up. Never letting his brown gaze move from Drake's theta just scowls as he spoke, voice low and a truthful threat. "Keep ordering me around and I will throw you too the dogs. Literally." While the words still had him on alert, he had the feeling that Drake wouldn't go through with it. While he'd never said so, the way his brother acted made it clear that he wouldn't harm his own blood. Yet that didn't mean theta had any extra confidence.
"You are more than just my brother Theta, you are all the family I have left and so I will tell you this, just this once and overlook your obvious mistake in giving me an order." Great, now he was in for it. He couldn't bring himself to regret what he;d said though, and in turn, just accepted the hard grip on his arms, ignoring the small pricks of pain that followed Drake's fingers as they dug into his arms. "Stay out of my business." That was the full threat right there. To anyone else, maybe they would've been completely terrified. But for him, it was more than that. It was a reminder that whatever morals his brother had about him, they could be thrown away if he pushed it.
Swallowing slightly, he didn't let himself be intimidated. This was Drake, if he knew anyone well it was his own twin. For a moment, he was almost sure that he saw sympathy in his brother's gaze, but it was gone as soon as it came. If it wasn't for the fact his memory was better than anyone else's, he would've said he imagined it. But, he hadn't, which only left him wondering what the look was for. "Besides...we both know you don't want to be involved in my world and you're just here for the ride, so do yourself a favour and think about what words are about to come out of your mouth." It wasn't so much that he was there for the ride. He was there as an anchor to the real world his brother was intent of destroying.
Yet, that wasn't what he needed to be focusing on. Before he could say anything, Drake stepped back and held up a finger almost thoughtfully. "As for your... request for the girl to live and stay here; your suggestion to submit her to mental and psychical torture and in a way leave her to the wolves will be taken into consideration." Great, when Drake put it like that, he wasn't sure whether that was a good thing or not. Hands in his pockets, Theta scowled, staring at Drake as his grin returned. "You do realise you are in a way condemning her? How is leaving her at my mercy any better than giving her the relief of death? You my brother are much darker than you realise." Maybe he was, but he knew what he was doing and had confidence that if Drake accepted his proposal in the end, it would work out better than killing the girl would.
Who knew who would come looking for her if he killed her after all, especially when someone could've seen her being taking in the first place. Stepping back, Theta snorted, turning away from Drake and moving toward the kitchen. “I don't know Drake, but I have a hunch that if you do end up keeping her, it'll be better for your own well being as well as hers. Not to mention, anyone who can get that blood down your front has to give you some sort of entertainment. Maybe she could even be your next pet so Amelia can have a break for a while.” Pausing at the doorway, he shook his head, brown hair falling in front of his eyes. “A reminder about what humans are when they've not been touched by werewolves before today might not be bad for you.” none currently ~ |

It was a small thing and not even close to measuring up to the things he had done, but Drake had never kidnapped someone and found the idea rather leaving a bitter taste in his mouth. He didn't know if it were the few morals he had or his impatience and straight out annoyance to look after another person when he could have avoided it. Theta almost wanted to hand her over almost like another new toy for him, but reality was he didn't want nor need, even desire another or new one; Amelia was grating against his nerves as it was and the only reason he kept her around was the thrill of the game he was just starting with her brother and Ethan, but he was not sleeping with her as often and becoming less concerned about where she went. In an all about way he was showing signs of ignoring her, so why would he take another human when he didn't want the one he already had? Scowling darkly he all, but fell into the chair across from the couch she was sleeping on, once again watching over her and waiting.
The answer to his internal questioning could be summed up into one name or person; Theta. Merely because his brother asked him had Drake considering it and more than likely making the decision that gained him little. There were times he wanted to curse his relationship with Theta, but he would instantly regret it being raised to only ever trust in family as well protecting them and never going against them. He had done that once and his entire family seemed to turn their backs on him which he didn't mind or care about; the only people left in the Beldon family were stragglers of elders with the Beldon name. His father died by his hands and their mother died a year before that, there was no real point in keeping the loyalty, only to Theta. Grinding his teeth he let out an aggravated growl, his grip tightening dramatically. The sound of the wood in the arm of the chair snapping caused Drake to blink out of his anger to look down and only scowl again; just what I needed tonight. He rolled his eyes while throwing the broken pieces down; pausing he held onto one and grinned wolfishly.
Leaning for-ward some he flicked the piece of wood at the girl aiming to either smack her in the head or her shoulder while letting out a long and loud whistle. "Wakey, wakey." Getting up to stand over her his smile turned crooked, lowering his voice. "I don't think me kissing you awake would be appreciated, sleeping beauty."
