► PERSONALITY: Theta is a guy who often confuses everyone around him, that's just a fact that needs to be accepted. It's not that he's a hard guy to understand in normal circumstances, not at all. Easy-going and friendly, he's the type of guy you can walk up to in the street and ask for directions and he'll make sure you get there personally. Rather quiet, he doesn't really talk unless someone asks him something or he needs to, after all he finds watching and listening more productive than yammering on. It attracts a lot of people to him which he takes in his stride. The problem is that with the good, comes the bad and he is an easy target for bullies and manipulators, being gullible and quick to trust. That being said, he's not an idiot, and as soon as he detects these things, he's quick to get himself out before situations turn sticky. The most important thing to know is that theta is intelligent, frighteningly so. Constantly in thought and considering the world around him, he notices a lot of things before anyone else can even consider them. That being said, his memory is... odd, in the fact it is far from normal. Theta has what can be called a too explicit photography memory. He can recall every second of every day since his first day of school when he was six in perfect detail and accuracy. The main problem with this means that he can remember everything someone's ever done to him, their expressions, their exact words and he can turn this against them, either as blackmail material or simply giving him a reason to hold grudges for life. Once someone breaks his trust, they never get it back, because he literally cannot forget. Now, Theta is generally a nice guy, friendly, protective, loyal to those he gets close to. But don't take this as he accepts everyone or cares for everyone. He's a Beldon after all and there comes a point where, even though he'll save someone or do something kind, that doesn't mean he cares for you in the slightest. In fact, he can be almost oblivious to when someone else might think he cares for them. He's nice because he can be, and that can change on a whim. That being said, generally, if your close enough that he considers you a friend, you know it. The main thing that confuses people is that, while he's all nice and sweet one moment, that can change with someone else walking into a room. Theta, much like every other Beldon, is a manipulator. His main skill? He can mimic his brother to the exactly eye twitch. If he sees the need to he can pull on his brother sarcastic, cold suit and play as him for as long as need be, after all he's done it almost continuously for ten years now. When Theta lies and acts though, no one can tell and he is an expert at his age at improvisation, so much barely anyone notices when they're talking to Theta instead of Drake. Being werewolves only assisted with this. From a young age, their father was always focusing on the two twins of the family, watching them as they grew up to be two very different boys. Drake was the one in charge, the alpha male who was stronger and more physically advanced than Theta, who was more of the mentally advanced. Don't take that as one was better than the other, Drake was still incredibly smart and Theta still dangerous, but there was an extreme difference in who was better at each. [/style]For whatever reason, their father focused on Theta, being the smartest of the boys, giving him the attention and somewhat affection that he could give, encouraging the boy to keep doing better. Everyone knew that Theta was favoured over Drake, even the boys themselves. While Drake trained all his life to try and improve to a point where he would be adored, Theta had it easy going. Excelling at school, Theta quickly learned the ropes of how to behave and who to hang around with, the only problem being his shy, soft-spoken tenancies. But the older he got and the more he watched the school environment and his twin, he got ideas. A common victim of bullies, he eventually cracked and, instead of acting like himself, he pulled out his brother's attitude, taking them by surprise. It was using Drake's attitude, that he flipped the tables, stopping the bullying and finding a place as a sort of leader among the group. Somehow, by doing this, he was able to stop them from picking on others, intimidating them using his brother's tongue. Being named Dux at the end of his schooling, he went on to study Zoology, his reputation was high enough that he could do anything, anywhere. But before he could choose, Drake finally made his move, killing their father in cold blood. That was when the gap between them really became apparent. Yet Theta could never find it in him to spite his brother for any of it, willingly moving with him to Ashford, which he then went on to study his Zoology, like he'd wanted. |
